Verdict
Stan Moore's Great Intrigue ran well enough when third in a Newbury maiden two starts ago but he struggled back in a handicap on a return visit to the venue last month and he looks best watched in a race taken to go to PYTHEAS, who gets the verdict ahead of Rolling Hills. Henry Candy's gelding stepped up from the form shown in a couple of handicaps when finding just Parvaaz too good in a Warwick maiden last time and he has every chance in the same grade today but does needs to improve on recent form in this company. Chris Wall's Aleqa has run well when third in two starts in handicaps of late but has been raised 2lbs since her most recent start at Doncaster and has a bit to find with a few rivals today so she may be booked for a place again. Marcus Tregoning's Daboos is well bred being by Mr Greeley but lack of a previous run is a concern and a better bet looks to be Pytheas. Michael Attwater's gelding has been well held in his last two starts in handicaps but earlier form is solid and he has an obvious chance judged by official BHA ratings.
