        Verdict

        A winner at Chepstow back in June, Mahagoni has gone close several times since including at Thirsk last month when beaten by Tuscan. Charlie Hills’ trains the latter and runs CHEPCHIK, who placed behind an easy winner over 6f at Newbury on her debut but will have come on for the outing and will appreciate this longer trip. Cavendish and Captain Kane are bred for middle-distances and Nuvolari is preferred of the newcomers.
