      Verdict

      This looks competitive, despite a small field. Amazing Red made a winning reappearance at Leicester and Soto Sizzler will be all the better for a first run for new connections at Kempton but it will be disappointing if the lightly-raced VALYRIAN STEEL (NAP) can’t make further progress this year under a stable adept at improving handicappers. Group One Power hasn’t raced since July but is another who still has a bit of scope and Galahad Threepwood won twice at Lingfield at the start of the year but was well beaten on his only previous run on Turf.
