Verdict

DICHATO was doing his best work at the finish when second over 6f at Newmarket last time. Today’s extra distance will suit on that evidence and the Gosden colt should be winning at this level soon with a handicap mark of 83. Doublet can go well again as he wasn’t beaten that far over track and trip a fortnight ago despite finishing only sixth but Rivas Rob Roy and Font Vert failed to show the expected progress on their latest starts. The newcomer Algam, a 200,000gns purchase and half-brother to a Group 2 winner, is worthy of consideration.
