Verdict
Piers Gaveston makes his handicap debut and did enough in his first season to suggest he's one to keep an eye on. Talk Of The North is obviously well regarded as she started a short-priced favourite on her two latest starts in September so she's another to watch out for on her first start in handicap company. Jumeirah Palm Star landed a Polytrack maiden on her return and with fitness on her side must be on the short-list as must Uncle Roger, who landed a minor race at Bath last summer but failed to build on that so it was an encouraging sign when he made a promising comeback on soft ground at Nottingham. Rockgoat disappointed in a handicap at Wolverhampton last month after landing a maiden there in February so a chance is taken with JANE LACHATTE. She's been sprinting but is by Doyen out of a middle-distance winner so this is much more like her trip and her trainer is adept at placing his horses in handicaps.
