Verdict

Starwatch ran well here last month but is getting no respite from the handicapper. Rib Reserve has won twice this year but was well beaten on his only previous try on soft going whereas fellow three-year-olds Quest For Wonder and Arabian Illusion appear to revel in the mud. Burano also has conditions in his favour while One Pekan is usually thereabouts and preferred to recent Yarmouth scorer Illusive, who is 7lb higher. SPIRIT OF THE LAW should be out of trouble at the front end and is back in the right grade after finding the company too hot at Newmarket and York. Front-runners can be hard to peg back here when the ground is soft and he's handicapped to go close.
