In depth
Verdict
Top weight Swift Tango has solid claims despite the burden of 9st 7lb and gets the vote over Ocean Victory and Parnassian in a competitive handicap. The selection seemed not to stay 10 furlongs at Chester last time and, although off a career-high mark, has a progressive profile. Ed Dunlop's gelding will not be inconvenienced by any further rain and looks the one to be on. Both Ocean Victory and Dance Party have their first outings in handicap-company today and neither look to be particularly well treated. Toby Balding's Parnassian is a consistent performer and should be suited by the conditions but is still a maiden and may have to settle for minor honours again. Mick Channon's Leonor De Soto is worthy of a mention but would prefer a faster surface so we stick with Swift Tango to give weight away all round.
