In depth

Verdict

A very competitive race to close proceedings at Exeter. Bak To Bill was just ran out of it in the closing stages here in December. He is a consistent performer but we believe that he'll probably find one too good again. Tosawi should relish the conditions and a good run is anticipated. His trainer is not in such good form this term and this clearly is a worry for his backers. Coastguard makes some appeal. He can be a quirky individual over the larger obstacles but on this return to hurdling, he is not totally out of it off a mark of 97. Fast King is made the tentative selection. He posted a win at Taunton off a mark of 96 and if he handles the surface, the six pound penalty should not be enough to stop him from following up. Recent course and distance second, Glen Warrior, is selected as the most likely danger.
