Verdict

The Tourard Man and SOUTHFIELD VIC (NAP) are stout stayers over hurdles but the former is already a nine-year-old so the latter should have the greater scope and was rated 10lb higher over the smaller obstacles. There will be a few long faces here if he fails to deliver as everything looks in his favour, including a confirmed front-runner in the form of Flintham. Native River could also be one to follow over fences having showed plenty of promise when third at Chepstow, though he appeared to find 3m too far in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham in March. Abracadabra Sivola was beaten 17 lengths when second at Chepstow last month and may need more time.
