In depth

Verdict

Flying Award is a thorough stayer and won over 4m1f at Perth in 2013. He also won over 3m6f here last season and is back on the same mark, though has disappointed since. Gorgehous Lliege bids to follow up his Fontwell success off a 9lb higher mark but could still be improving and Reblis won the Sussex National last year off this mark. Halley has been a big disappointment, however, while Milosam tends to reserve his best for Taunton. Buckhorn Tom was second here last month but stamina could be an issue over this much longer distance. AMERICAN LEGEND has only finished out of the frame once in six starts over fences. He won over 3m3f over hurdles so has plenty of stamina and his stable won this two years ago. McCoy's strength can lift him home.
