Verdict
The three to concentrate on here are Fast Mix, Gentle Beau, and Rydon Lane, with the former just edging the decision. This is a pretty weak contest and Martin Pipe's gelding should be up to defying top-weight. He beat the well fancied Pardishar Plumpton last week and if that tough struggle hasn't taken too much out of him he should follow up today. Gentle Beau was also successful last time beating a modest bunch at Ludlow last month, it was an improved performance and there may be more to come from this six-year-old. The best of the rest looks to be Rydon Lane who was behind the selection at Taunton recently, but with a big pull in the weights, does hold strong claims. Course winner Grey Brother is also worthy of a mention but for the winner we return to Fast Mix.
