Verdict

Editeur Du Gite is a tough front-runner who has won at the highest level but he usually needs a run. Paul Nicholls seeks a ninth victory in this Grade 2 with SOLO. A winner at this level at Kempton in February, he’d probably gone over the top when pulled up at Sandown in April. Elixir De Nutz was last of five at Chepstow but Freddie Gingell can claim 7lb in this and he makes more appeal than stablemate War Lord, who is 5lb out of the handicap. Brave Seasca won on his reappearance last season but went downhill after that and has had wind surgery since last seen. Mouse Morris‘ Indiana Jones won a Grade 3 at Naas last season but never figured on his reappearance at Cork, though will strip fitter here.
