Verdict
Perhaps slightly more interesting than part one of the bumper, and a race where THOMAS WILD gets the vote ahead of Midnight Prayer and Morcambe. Philip Hobbs saddles the selection, who made a nice debut last spring and reappeared at Wincanton last month, when seen to good effect in defeat by just a head when conditions were also described as good. Very much going the right way, he is taken to find the necessary to get him home in front this time. Midnight Prayer was a disappointment when favourite at Newbury last time, having shown plenty of promise at the Berkshire track first time. This is his first start on decent ground and he might just appreciate it, so he has to be considered. Morcambe was given a quiet Kempton introduction and should shape up better this time around, especially with the yard flying, while Bedrock Fred improved for his first run and if able to continue that upward curve could go very well at a price here. Thomas Wild is the pick in the last.
