Verdict

RUSSIAN SONG can go well and he is preferred to Willofhisown and Doctor Foxtrot. The selection is unproven on the likely going but its worth noting that his two previous runs in this sphere were in much stronger company than this and he can make racecourse experience count. Emma Lavelle has a good record with her runners at Exeter so Willofhisown has to enter calculations despite his not particularly precocious breeding. Doctor Foxtrot is a son of St Leger winner, Milan, so he can be forgiven for having caught a tartar in a Newbury bumper over 1m5f. Persian Run finished down the field in a Doncaster race that has begun to work out well. Striking Viking is one to note in the market for any positive vibes. King's Performance is a half brother to smart two miler, Turgeonev, so should handle the prevailing conditions. Timmy Murphy rates as an interesting booking aboard Pull The Wool. Knight In Purple was very green on debut and presumably is capable of much better for that experience. This is a fair bumper by the track's standards and Russian Song receives our recommendation.
