In depth

Verdict

HUELGOAT is hard to oppose. The import was a convincing winner of a French National Hunt Flat race last October and seems to have been found an ideal opportunity to get off the mark on his first start for the champion trainer elect. The 7lb claim of highly promising Angus Cheleda is an added bonus. Deep Inferno and Dr Gamble have been well beaten on their respective outings to date, whereas Come Dancing, despite finishing totally tailed off last time, did show some promise on his Kempton bumper debut, so is nominated as next best. The market should prove the best guide to Tim Vaughan's newcomer, Colonial Empire, a son of Zoffany.
