Verdict

Pure Bliss, GAZETTE BOURGEOISE and Coquelicot finished first, second and third in a NH novices’ hurdle at Uttoxeter last month. The winner has an excellent career strike-rate but carries a penalty today while the latter is in danger of becoming disappointing over hurdles and is now tried in cheekpieces. Ben Case’s filly has had only three runs and was hampered close home at the Midlands track so may come out best today. Lady Of The Night is better than she showed at Ffos Las but Coquelicot’s stable companion Bleue Away was never travelling at Wincanton and Flying Risk has plenty to prove on her first start for new connections with winning pointer Maggies Mogul more interesting.
