Verdict

BALLYBREEN (NAP) won this last year, the middle leg of a hat-trick, and has continued in excellent form, scoring by 32 lengths at Fontwell last week. He has a 7lb penalty to carry but that doesn't look enough to prevent another victory. At the other end of the weight scale, Sandford Castle gained his first success under Rules on heavy going at Taunton and the more rain the better for Johnny Farrelly's veteran while Don Herbager has gone close to losing his maiden tag the last twice.
