Verdict
This is a cracking novice chase with several decent winning pointers trying to make the transition to regulation fences. Of those who have experience in novice chases, One Knight sets a fair standard. A more than useful hurdler, he has already made into an even better chaser, winning a valuable novice event at Chepstow, before ruining his chance at Newbury, when ploughing through the cross fence. Providing he has learnt from that he will be difficult to beat. Sir Cumference, from the powerful Henrietta Knight yard will be one to keep an eye on as will Fair Sprite and Whatashock. All three have won their fair share between the flags. However, a chance is taken with chasing debutante West Hill Rose, who has the size and scope to do better at this game rather than hurdling. She stays well, handles soft ground and will be all the better for reappearence at Chepstow last month.
