Verdict

Green Belt Elite was good value for his win at Chepstow earlier in the month but a 9lb rise for that success leaves the Venetia Williams-trained gelding with no easy task in following up and preference is for SIGNATORY who gets the vote with Mister Watzisname rated the best of the rest. The selection makes his debut for Jonjo O'Neill today having formerly been trained by Noel Meade and with the yard's runners in good form he looks worth siding with on his first start for new connections. Richard Lee's Western Whisky was making headway prior to falling late on at Warwick last time and has claims if his jumping holds up. Colin Tizzard's Pass Me A Dime fell heavily on his latest start at Chepstow in March but has had plenty of time to recover from that and he makes more appeal than David Pipe's Laustra Bad, who has been well held in both starts this term. In comparison, Charlie Longsdon's Mister Watzisname has run well in both starts this season and should be thereabouts again but Signatory could be good enough on his first start for Jonjo O'Neill.
