Verdict

RENARD has gone up another 8lb for adding a win at Lingfield to his earlier success at Chepstow where he had Super Formen well behind. However, he won with plenty in hand last time and a hat-trick looks on the cards for Venetia Williams' progressive charge. Baseball Ted was well beaten in Listed company last time but won this race last year, albeit off a much lower mark, while Betabob made a pleasing reappearance when fourth at Chepstow and looks to have strong claims. Robin De Creuse has yet to win but looks the type to do better over fences and is worth noting on his reappearance.
