Mumbling should make a bold bid to follow up his debut win and can score at the expense of Supreme Serenade in a race that has a number of interesting runners. The selection was a decent handicapper on the Flat and won well on his debut in what was, admittedly, a soft race. We'll find out more about him today. Alexander Milenium was very well-regarded in Ireland so has to be respected on his first run for Jonjo O'Neill. The horse remains in the ownership of Mrs O'Callaghan. Of the others, Almaydan won twice at up to 14 furlongs in April/May; Ashley Brook finished seventh in Aintree's Martell bumper; Blue Derby won a modest Taunton bumper; Captain Flinders has shown good promise in two bumpers; Martin Pipe runs the Lord Americo gelding, Good Outlook; Tinoveritas has won a Worcester bumper for maidens; Andromache looks the type that could win hurdles, and Supreme Serenade won well in his bumper and is nicely bred for this game. For today, though, we'll stay loyal to Mumbling in what could prove to be a good event.
