In depth

Verdict

Ample Appeal, runner-up on his only start between the flags, will have come on for his run in a Thurles bumper in November but is likely to find one or two of these too pacey. Casson is obviously well regarded as he started a short-priced favourite for his only point-to-point run at Loughanmore where he fell at the last when in contention. Katie Walsh attempted to make all on Maddoxtown at Killarney in August and almost pulled it off, her mount just being caught by Allure Of Illusion close home. A similar effort looks certain here but the strong pace should play into the hands of BURN AND TURN, who made an eye-catching debut in a strong Cork bumper won by What An Flyer and looked the type to benefit greatly from the experience.
