Verdict
Winning bumper and Grade 3 hurdles winner Grand Paradis fell two out on his chasing debut at Down Royal in October then made far too many mistakes when tackling Grade 1 company here a month later. He's still only six and looks certain to do better in time though JUNGLE BOOGIE looks another for the champion trainer. A debut bumper winner at Clonmel, he started long odds-on for his hurdling bow at Punchestown in February and made all to win by an impressive 30l. The stable also run Shadow Rider, a winner between the flags and of a maiden hurdle whose pedigree suggests he can do even better over the bigger obstacles. Diol Ker had some smart form over timber but has so far failed to fire over fences.
