In depth

Childrens List won twice over hurdles and, though not progressing as expected in better company, is a half-brother to the very useful chaser Schindlers Hunt. A Genie In Abottle won a point, a bumper and a maiden hurdle and made an encouraging start over fences at Galway where he looked as though the run would do him good. Acapella Bourgeois won two Grade 2 races over timber and is expected to take high order over fences, though he fell at the first on his chasing debut at Naas last month. Taglietelle is rated 150 over hurdles and made a reasonable start over fences in July but then fell at the first at Killarney and refused when beaten at Galway so he has questions to answer. His stable companion Moonshine Lad is another who hasn't taken to fences so far but MARTELLO TOWER jumped very well on his chasing bow at Navan and was only just beaten for pace over a trip much too short. The 2015 Albert Bartlett winner looks a very smart recruit to the bigger obstacles and can take an interesting opener.
