In depth

Verdict

Willie Mullins has three entries, all arriving in winning form, with Paul Townend choosing ECHOES IN RAIN (NAP), a very convincing winner from subsequent County Hurdle winner Belfast Banter in a Naas Grade 2 in February and very much on the upgrade. She holds Desir Du Large on that run but M C Muldoon has only had two runs and overcame trouble in-running to land a maiden on this track while Grand Bornand improved to beat a big field of maidens at Leopardstown. However, the latter was a long way behind Thedevilscoachman at Cork in November and Noel Meade's charge won a Punchestown Listed contest in February so looks a real threat. Call Me Lyreen has a Grade 2 penalty for his victory at Naas then ran well for a long way in the Future Champions behind Appreciate It at Leopardstown
