Verdict

Joyeux Machin has won over hurdles and fences this year and scored easily the last time he ran over timber. But he's rated 6lb lower than ABSOLUTE NOTIONS and has to concede 9lb with Danny Gilligan's claim taken into account. Gordon Elliott's charge has a superb record fresh so the lack of a run shouldn't be a concern. The remaining pair have plenty to find with Starman likely to prove third best.
