Verdict

Cape Gentleman has won a Grade 2 over hurdles and a Grade 3 over fences and scored on the Flat last summer. He's still only seven and changed stables so there should still be a spark there. Velvet Elvis won a Grade B novices' handicap at Navan in March and has been competing at a much higher level than this without showing much. Milan Native won the Kim Muir at Cheltenham in 2020 but hasn't had much racing subsequently and shown little while Agusta Gold hasn't won for over two years and has no future engagements. MINELLA CROONER requires a stamina test so had little chance against quicker rivals over 2m3f in a Punchestown Grade 3. His two earlier efforts put him in the driving seat for this and he has two entries at Cheltenham.
