Verdict

Ted Walsh has found an ideal opportunity for OLD CASTLETOWN (NAP) to continue his winning run. The seven-year-old has won four of his last seven starts over fences and gone up 25lb in the process so reverting to hurdles on an 18lb lower mark looks a smart move. Shake The Bucket is in cracking form and added to his two summer jumps victories by scoring at Dundalk last week. Court Challenge was highly tried after scoring at Gowran in November and has the scope to do better, a remark that also applies to William Du Berlais who was making his handicap debut when failing to justify strong support at Kilbeggan.
