In depth

Verdict

Agusta Gold ran nine times over hurdles, winning twice and only out of a place on her debut. She started a short-priced favourite on her chasing bow at Killarney but never really got going after being hampered early in the race. Edene D'Arc wouldn't have been her match over timber but looks more likely to be suited by this trip and should make a bold bid for a successful start over fences. However, it's her stable companion TINTANGLE who could come out on top as she finished a close third in the Grade 2 Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham before running in two Grade 1 races. Flamingo's Court won a novices' hurdle at Wexford in May but faces a tough task against the principals as does Inishbel, who attempted to make all over 2m2f at Downpatrick but was soon struggling after being headed two out.
