Jim Bolger won this last year and his newcomer Empress Of Rome wouldn't need to be a world-beater to repeat the process. Eagle Canyon has had plenty of chances but this looks his optimum trip and the ground shouldn't be a problem. Fred Fenster has been lacking a finishing burst but may not need one here though it's KRIVAN who gets the vote as he has run very well on his last two starts and is one of the few with scope to do better.
