Verdict

Sailors Warn did very well over hurdles last winter and can go well here despite a long absence while Celtic Soprano is turned out again quickly after a very good run at Listowel on Wednesday. Raffaello Santi was in good form at this time a year ago but has been beaten out of sight in two runs this campaign so it's the three-year-old SONAPOUR who gets the vote. Mick Halford's colt is making his handicap debut but has run well enough in strong maidens to suggest he's well in at these weights. Another from the younger generation, Brown Butterfly, has been going well and looks a couple of pounds ahead of the handicapper at present.
