Verdict

Gordon Elliott has won two of the last three of these and FIL DOR is likely to be a warm order to carry on the sequence. Runner-up on his only start on the Flat in France, he jumped like an old hand at Down Royal last month and will take the world of beating. Joseph O'Brien also has a good record in the race and Max Mayhem, rated 99 on the Flat after landing a Curragh premier handicap in September, looks a quality recruit to hurdling. Lunar Power has been in fine form on the Flat all summer and won easily over 1m4f at Leopardstown before a convincing victory over timber at Punchestown so looks a threat but, after an easy victory at Killarney, Feigh didn't look right at Listowel though his yard is back in top form so expect a much better show.
