In depth

Verdict

Jetson was in the form of his life earlier this year, landing a tough Punchestown handicap before excellent runs at Cheltenham and Aintree. He gained a surprise but deserved victory over Quevega in the World Series Hurdle at Punchestown and has every chance of landing his second Grade 1. Lieutenant Colonel won a Grade 2 easily over the track and trip in April and has quickly reverted to hurdling after being beaten at odds-on for his chasing debut at Naas. The front-running Little King Robin couldn't cope with the late thrusts of Hurricane Fly and Jezki in the Morgiana at Punchestown two weeks ago so the longer trip is a concern though she did win easily over the distance at Gowran last month. ZAIDPOUR won this two years ago and the previous race in 2010. He wasn't beaten far by Jezki a year ago and is an ideal substitute for the absent Annie Power.
