In depth

Verdict

Robert Tyner holds a strong hand with Byerley Babe and Who Let De Dogsout. The former hasn't quite recaptured the form of her Grade 2 victory at Thurles in January but takes a drop in class for her handicap debut. The latter made a successful debut over fences at Cork a couple of weeks ago though he may have been fortunate as a rival came down at the last. Down Ace completed a six-timer in points, bumpers and over hurdles last year. His jumping hasn't been up to scratch in his two recent runs over fences but Noel Meade will have given him plenty of schooling and Paul Carberry can steer him into a place. POLLYWOLLYDOODLE (NAP) has her quirks but is a talented performer at her best. She was a 33/1 chance for a Grade 3 at Clonmel last time but belied her odds with a cracking effort behind Jennies Jewel and that should be good enough for this.
