Verdict

SILVO is the default selection in a race which won't live long in the memory. Laconicos is having his first run over fences and may be able to improve on the form that he has shown over hurdles; the market can point the way. Peak Seasons faces a more realistic assignment than most he's been set so could conceivably be competitive for the first time. Fortune Point has bits and pieces of form that would make him of interest in this line-up and his yard has been amongst the winners. Saddlers Blaze is tried in a visor which may help buck his ideas up whilst Chalice Welcome won a claimer at Great Leighs which may have boosted his confidence. The Iron Giant ran a stinker after finishing within ten lengths of the selection which makes it difficult to recommend him despite the swing in the weights. The selection proved that race wasn't a flash in the pan when running as well as could have been expected behind Kings Quay on his latest start and Silvo can make the most of this opportunity.
