    Verdict

Dusk gave Evan Williams another winner when belying odds of 14/1 when successful at Lingfield last week and he has to be respected under his 7lb penalty but the slightly shorter trip today may not be ideal and preference is for PROPHETE DE GUYE, who gets the verdict ahead of Ursumman. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding was below par when down the field behind Red Jester at Warwick earlier this month but has dropped to a decent mark and the yard have their team in good from so he cannot be discounted. Gary Moore's Space Cowboy has run disappointingly of late and looks best watched with a bigger threat likely to come from Brendan Powell's Morestead, who has been running well in defeat in recent starts. Kim Bailey's Good Old Days has been punished by the handicapper for his wins at Hereford and Fontwell in September but has to be considered, although more solid claims are held by Prophete de Guye. The six-year-old has been in good heart of late and, off the same mark as when placed in each of his last two starts, he has an obvious chance.
