Verdict

The wheels appear to have well and truly fallen off three-times course and distance winner Midnight Charmer. Larteta's recent second on the track came in a match and Vent Nivernais was all out to win a maiden handicap over 2m here last time and is 3lb higher. He still looks the danger, however, to HIGHBURY HIGH who is now 8lb lower than his last winning mark and should jump better out of this quicker ground. Petit Ecuyer looks best of the rest.
