Verdict

Militarian wasn’t winning out of turn at Taunton but has gone up 9lb for that and may struggle to beat ENJOY RESPONSIBILITY (NAP) on these terms. Oliver Sherwood’s runner was only fourth in this last year and is 6lb higher but there was a lot to like about his comeback effort at Hereford and he’s already won twice on this sharp track. Forth Bridge is 0-7 over fences but never seems to run a bad race and it would be no surprise if he finally got his head in front while Lingfield second Holbrook Park has won three times over the larger obstacles, including once here. The Geegeez Geegee was returning from a lengthy absence here two weeks ago and will strip fitter today.
