Verdict

As is often the case there is not a lot of form for backers to go on in this bumper and Pam Sly's Chicklemix looks the pick of those to have raced previously having run a fair fifth of 13 behind Royal Riviera at Wetherby in December on his only start so far but this may go to one of the newcomers with FRANCESA preferred to Sesame Seed. Neil King's mare is a daughter of Shambo and should not be inconvenienced by any of the cut in the ground so he has to be respected. Grassfinch, a daughter of Generous, looks the pick of the two Roseson runners in the race ahead of Genny Wren, although both make their debuts today and could be anything. Moonlight Rose has the benefit of experience but has been well beaten in all three outings so far, while Silk And Roses gave little sign of encouragement on his debut at Bangor way back in May 2007. Henry Daly's Francesa lacks any experience but the daughter of Silver Patriarch takes the eye on pedigree and may be good enough to win first time out.
