      Verdict

      Captiva Island, second in three of his six starts under Rules, is overdue a win. He’s the pick of Olly Murphy’s three runners and is rated 9lb higher than last month’s course and distance third Potters Midnight but may found one too good again in the shape of DOLPHIN VISTA. Martyn Meade’s newcomer to hurdling never raced beyond 1m2f on the Flat but won the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket in October and is a potentially smart recruit to the winter game. He should last home around this sharp track.
