In depth

Verdict

Only two finished in the race won by BLUE MONDAY at Hereford but he’s been quite lightly raced so may have more to offer. Winning hurdler Strictlyadancer could be a danger as he was second in this grade at Southwell in November. Two Sams, a winning pointer, has only had one run over fences so far but Lingfield scorer Touch Screen has raced 16 times over the larger obstacles. Our Uncle Pat was placed four times in the autumn but it looks like Olly Murphy has run out of patience with the nine-year-old, who is now 0-13 in career starts, and stablemate Robin De Broome may have stronger claims.
