In depth

Verdict

The returning Lough Salt placed three times last year but was also pulled up three times. Etat Major Aulmes was having only his second run over fences when second at Fontwell and Jimmi Chew is equally unexposed having won at Huntingdon earlier this month following a break. Joey Steel had every chance when beaten a length by BARDEN BELLA over 2m5f here last time and is now 0-15. He is no better off at the weights and Christian Williams’ mare has the greater scope for improvement. Kapsize’s fourth at Ffos Las was his best run for a while and he could sneak into a place.
