Verdict
Pangeran deserves to win a race having found one too good in each of his last three races, latterly when chasing home El Cordobes over course and distance last week but Oliver Sherwood has his string in good form and Mini Dare gets the verdict on his reappearance with Flinders the only other possible danger. The selection showed steady improvement over hurdles last term but has always been more likely to be a better chaser than hurdler and, with the stable in such good form, he is taken to make a winning chase debut. Richard Rowe's Flinders has shown signs of a return to form of late and has slipped to an attractive mark but is fully exposed, while Red Emperor showed few signs of being rejuvenated by the switch from Richard Guest's stable to Dr Philip Pritchard's yard when making his debut for new connections at Lingfield recently. Paxford Trooper was no better than moderate when last seen 555 days ago and is difficult to recommend in a race that should go to Mini Dare.
