Verdict

Owned by JP McManus and trained by Paul Nicholls, there’s a good chance that the nicely-bred Duc De Bourbon is better than he showed in a couple of bumpers. But there are others with scope including Plenty In The Tank, who looked useful when winning a Chepstow bumper a year ago for Ed de Giles. LAURELDEAN CROSS was a 33/1 winner of a Roscommon bumper in July and has switched stables since. But there appeared to be no fluke about the result and this sharp track should play to his strengths.
