In depth
Verdict
PONGO TWISTLETON (NAP) justified strong market support when scoring easily at Huntingdon to land a first success over timber. He houses plenty of scope for improvement after just five NH starts and looks capable of defying the punishment of the assessor to score again. His yard is ticking along nicely. Prince Mahler has claims but the suspicion is that he may now be in the grip of the handicapper but he is a course and distance winner and ran well enough over the Bank Holiday when second at Huntingdon. Samdibien showed he's capable of landing a small handicap last time and Western Sunrise was tailed off when punted into favouritism latest so check if there's any money around for the Farrelly charge this time around too.
