    Verdict

    Bajan Bear and Cristaliyev have yet to win a race between them, while all three of Shostakovich's victories have been on the Fibresand at Southwell. Hoover won his maiden at Lingfield in February but came unstuck on his handicap debut at Kempton when finishing four lengths behind today's rival CEFFYL GWELL. The latter failed to stay 7f behind the progressive Indian Jack on the Polytrack last time, but is perfectly at home on turf and can return to winning ways in this company.
