In depth

Verdict

GONE PLATINUM is better known as a chaser but was second over these hurdles on similar going in January and is only 3lb higher. He’s just preferred to the less-exposed Shaughnessy. Sign Of War may do better now handicapping but Stephanie Sunshine had an alternative engagement yesterday at Chepstow. General Allenby ran easily his best race at Kelso last month and any improvement on that would put him in the firing-line.
