In depth

Verdict

Winningseverything made a winning start at Market Rasen but failed to cope with a penalty at Southwell. Tara West looks a better long-term prospect than fellow points winner Rookie Trainer but hasn’t raced in more than a year. Chat To Charlie ran well at Huntingdon and Prudhomme was only beaten a neck at Newbury in January and has every chance on that form while Richard Johnson has been booked for Venetia Williams’ debutant Excuse Me. Another newcomer, EXCELERATOR EXPRESS, is a half-brother to a jumps winner in France and locally owned. It would be no surprise if he attracted market support for a yard with a decent strike-rate here in bumpers.
