Verdict

Bateleur looks as though he is on the downgrade and tends to reserve his best for Bath, while Best One also doesn't appear the force of old. The latter's stablemate Spin 'n Span finally got off the mark on turf at Bath last time, however, though carries a penalty here for that success. John O'Shea also saddles a couple with Charlie Delta marginally preferred to top weight The Jailer. Madam Isshe and veteran Blessed Place can't be ignored but GOOSEBERRY BUSH may still have a bit of scope and is preferred. Peter Makin's filly travelled strongly for a long way on her reappearance over 6f at Lingfield and that run should have blown away some cobwebs.
