Ceann Sibheal won a couple of times over hurdles last season but this trip looks on the short side. Beer Goggles also seemed to excel when tackling staying trips in March while Bramble Brook hasn’t managed to win a race in eight attempts, though does have fitness on his side. WEST WIZARD couldn’t quite peg back Pearl Swan over 3m here at the end of last month but that was still a fine first effort over the larger obstacles and he’ll strip fitter today. Jonagold has won between the flags but was beaten in a seller over hurdles last month and is not progressing. Mountain Of Mourne is more interesting as he’s already been placed three times over fences and will have needed a recent run at Chepstow.
